Our client is one of the nation’s largest developers, owners, and managers of high-quality student housing communities. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a Cloud Systems Engineer to support the development and operation of scalable, secure cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise-wide applications. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance.

What YOU get to DO at this growing company:

  • Design, implement, and maintain the company’s cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy cloud-based solutions that align with business needs.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery processes in a cloud environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment-related issues, ensuring system performance and uptime.
  • Implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies across cloud platforms.
  • Identify, analyze, and address security vulnerabilities and apply appropriate remediation practices.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
  • Proactively analyze metrics and performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities and deliver optimization strategies.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, preferably in Azure environments.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and automation frameworks (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Octopus).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Demonstrated experience with DevOps methodologies and ITIL best practices.
  • Skilled in managing cloud networking, compute resources, and serverless architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud security and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred). Azure certifications are a plus.
