Our client is one of the nation’s largest developers, owners, and managers of high-quality student housing communities. As they continue to grow, they are looking for an IT Vendor Support Manager to oversee IT vendors throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring cost control, risk mitigation, and project success. The IT Vendor Support Manager will assist in writing RFPs, evaluating vendors, setting performance metrics, negotiating contracts, resolving conflicts, and working closely with project managers and IT leaders.

What YOU get to DO at this growing company:

  • Manage IT procurement and vendor relationships, including obtaining quotes and approvals, developing custom statements of work for complex projects, and ensuring compliance with corporate regulations.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for IT vendor issues, holding vendors accountable to service level agreements (SLAs) and resolving conflicts.
  • Track and report contract progress, participate in policy discussions, recommend procedural improvements, and provide reports and dashboards to stakeholders.
  • Work independently to analyze information and present insights to senior management.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT (preferred) with at least 7 years of industry experience, preferably in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience managing IT vendors and projects, overseeing procurement processes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with SLAs and performance indicators.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, organizational and leadership abilities, and experience prioritizing workloads.
  • Proficient in interpreting business regulations, writing reports, and presenting information.
  • A strong understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving in non-standardized situations is essential.
  • Experience with Windows Server environments, SQL, Remote Desktop, and network protocols.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to handle multiple high-priority tasks with leadership and analytical skills.
