Maintenance Tech 2nd Shift – Kiel, WI

As they continue growing, they are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their second shift for their plant that specializes in Milk Intake and Aged Cheddar Production and Sweet Whey by-product. This role includes but is not limited to extensive problem solving and troubleshooting on their ammonia refrigeration systems, HVAC systems, and compressed air systems.

Hours : 2:45 pm – 11:00 pm with potential overtime, a weekend rotation, and possible holidays.

What YOU get to DO in this high-profile position:

  • Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on utilities equipment on the 2nd shift. 
  • Repair and work with a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. 
  • Maintain and troubleshoot condenser and water chemical systems.
  • Improve and maintain refrigeration, cooling tower, and boiler logbooks.
  • Perform all duties with all safety protocols in mind.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with planner/scheduler, PSM Manager, or other members of management as assigned in proper priority..

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

  • Minimum High School Diploma, 18 years or older
  • At least 2 years of previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with one of the following systems: basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, conveyers, gearing, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, fabrication, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, pumps, prior diagnostic, and troubleshooting.
  • *Preferred* – Higher level mechanical aptitude in many areas such as but not limited to: electrical systems, compressors, hydraulics and pneumatics 
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, unionized environment and manage a diverse team while ensuring the utmost safety under limited supervision.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflict effectively.
  • Must be able to work across shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
