Our client is an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) specializing in electronics manufacturing solutions for critical systems. They serve various industries, including aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial sectors. Their key services include surface mount technology (SMT), through-hole soldering, electro-mechanical assembly, and comprehensive testing to ensure product reliability.

The Operations Manager will lead cross-functional collaboration, manage departmental performance, and ensure alignment with corporate goals. This position requires a hands-on leader who is proactive, analytical, and capable of managing multiple operational areas while delivering on key performance indicators.

 What YOU get to DO at this established company:

  • Plan, direct, and control daily manufacturing operations across all production areas to meet output and quality targets.
  • Review and approve operational plans regarding labor, budget, material efficiency, and customer service.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reporting to the General Manager, recommending changes where needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in efficiency, cost control, and product quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate activities and align operational objectives with corporate strategy.
  • Lead operational projects involving functional improvements or major departmental changes.
  • Hire, develop, and manage a qualified team; assess performance and initiate development plans.
  • Maintain clear internal communication and foster a culture of accountability and safety across teams.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline 
  • Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing management role overseeing production, inventory, logistics, and warehousing
  • Proven leadership in high-paced manufacturing environments (preferably electronics or industrial assembly)
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in operational settings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Access 
  • Effective time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience in driving lean practices, continuous improvement, and team development
