About the Role
As our client’s Payroll Clerk – Contract, you’ll play a critical role in processing payrolls across the U.S. and internationally. From managing complex pay plans to collaborating with taxation agencies, your expertise will ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time. This contract role offers the chance to work alongside a fantastic team during a pivotal phase of our Workday implementation project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process multiple payrolls (weekly, biweekly, and monthly) with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform audits on payroll and tax records to ensure compliance.
  • Handle wage orders, liens, garnishments, and deductions.
  • Prepare city, state, and federal reports, including W-2s and other filings.
  • Support employees and managers with payroll inquiries and training.
  • Manage data uploads, spreadsheets, and payroll-related reports.
  • Contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: At least 2 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience. 3 to 5 years preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Workday or large ERP payroll systems preferred.
  • Desirable: Multi-state and international payroll experience.
  • Attributes: Analytical mindset, attention to detail, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
