As they continue growing, they are looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Thermal Systems Engineer to join our team in Lake Forest, CA. This role focuses on designing, testing, and optimizing thermal systems for advanced electronic systems, including semiconductors, photonics, and embedded devices. You will collaborate across disciplines to develop efficient and innovative thermal solutions, support product performance, and address technical challenges in a dynamic, high-tech environment.
What YOU get to DO in this high-profile position:
- Design and develop thermal components and interfaces for active thermal control systems.
- Conduct thermal analyses to assess and optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal solutions into product designs.
- Perform testing, validation, and hands-on evaluations of prototypes to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Optimize designs for performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams in establishing specifications.
- Provide guidance for product installation, commissioning, and field service.
- Stay updated on advancements in thermal management technologies and ensure compliance with industry standards.
What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Physics, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in thermal design, testing, or product support, preferably in a high-tech environment.
- Expertise in conduction and convection-based thermal systems.
- Experience with chillers, heat exchangers, and active thermal control components like heaters and Peltiers.
- Proficiency in thermal modeling and analysis tools (e.g., SolidWorks Flow, Ansys Icepak).
- Familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment design is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- On-site availability in Lake Forest, CA, with the ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%).
